Had a great start to our tracking course held at Moholoholo with a leopard calling around camp all night last night.
Tristan who was supposed to be studying for exams went out early to pick up tracks. He called us when located the tracks and where the leopard had made a kill.
The tracking course followed the drag (the leopard had been holding something quite small in its mouth so only a slight drag mark was visible although the trail was clear) for about 500m until where we found the remains of a Vervet monkey.
The leopard had left but hopefully we will see him sometime during the weeks course.
We also got brilliant tracks of monitor lizard, banded mongoose and hyena today.
